Keshin and Keshin Armed are thrown aside as well like ? (the game still had them + Souls like why are you so different?). Saying that, I felt the GO Raimon players had so many character development like Kirino, Nishiki, and Taiyou that were all in the Strongest 11 in Chrono Stone, and should have been selected, but to only appear for like 3 episodes? (at best based on my memory), pushed aside as they have no 'Soul' abilities. Tenma needed that challenge to develop as a captain. I get that it could be because of this that's why Level-5 needed new team members as the Raimon players will definitely listen to him since he's been their teammate for so long and will probably realise if Tsurugi got replaced. Because he would be too busy being captain-like, that he wouldn't notice Tsurugi getting captured and replaced by an alien-look-a-like, which is also vital to his development. Please don't hate me! I mostly feel this way because I felt Level-5 basically threw the GO Raimon characters away and slot in new characters just to challenge Tenma's captain ability. I know this is probably the minority of the fandom. Galaxy, in my opinion, isn't my favourite season. He is a defender after all, and his deep connection with Jeanne ties the knot together. Additionally Kirino’s connection with Jeanne also gives us an insight on Kirino’s entire personality as well- because Kirino’s character could be similar to Joan D’ Arc- in a sense that Kirino is a spirited young man who would do anything to ensure the protection and the victory of the Raimon Team. Jeanne is that one person that Kirino can share anything with, and I feel like he really appreciated that and treasured that about her- thus making their Mixi Max smooth(Unlike Shindou who failed multiple times to Mixi Max with Nobunaga). Almost as if he was closer to her than he was to Shindou. And it’s nice to have someone like that to Kirino as well, because under his calmness- he does have issues that he’s quite bothered about, and I see Jeanne as the person that he could vent to. Kirino is much more emotionally calm that Shindou is, so it’s up to him to make sure that his best friend isn’t dying or crying. I like this so much because Kirino is like that to his close friend Shindou. I don’t see Jeanne as the “girl that Kirino found” like Okatsu is to Shindou, but I see her instead as a caring and loving friend, that helps Kirino get over his troubles. They have a similar personality type in terms of their struggles, and that’s what makes them bond. I feel like Kirino and Jeanne compliment each other pretty well, and they help each other get over their weaknesses and the hurdles that they’ve set upon themselves. See, it would be cute for some romantic feelings to show up, but I still see Jeanne as the brave Joan D’ Arc that is still trying to find her courage to defend her country. I actually really like Kirino and Jeanne’s relationship, but I don’t really see it as that romantic.
